Simply amazing!

I booked this tour together with a couple of my friends, and it was the greatest decision made! E-bikes were in perfect condition, and our guide was extremely focused and well-organized. I was a bit afraid to ride a bike in such a big city, but I'm glad I did it in the end! A big thanks for such an amazing introduction to the city!

Well organized!

This tour is definitely worth booking, and I can't recommend it enough! All the places we saw along the way were some of the most famous buildings in Barcelona and are well worth a visit. We were almost late, so we suggest you come at least 10 minutes earlier as the city can get quite crowded and we also needed some time to locate our guide.

DESCRIPTION

Gaudi Tour Barcelona

Get ready for a fun ride around Barcelona on an electric bike and pass by Gaudi's amazing architectural masterpieces. This light and easy guided tour takes you through the city's most iconic sights for 3.5 hours, starting with a quick safety briefing and lessons on riding an e-bike.

CIUTADELLA PARK & ORNAMENTAL WATERFALL

Your first stop is Ciutadella Park, where you'll see the ornamental waterfall designed by Gaudi himself. This was his first big project, and he was actually working as an assistant to the main architect, Josep Fontsere. It's a peaceful spot that gives a sneak peek into Gaudi's early creative genius.

SAGRADA FAMILIA

Pedal your way to the Sagrada Familia, the crown jewel of Barcelona. This stunning yet unfinished cathedral is famous for its unique spires and detailed facades. The interior columns of the Sagrada Familia are designed to mimic trees and branches, reflecting Gaudi's intention to bring the feel of a forest into the church.

CASA BATLLO

Stopping at Casa Batllo, part of the famous Passeig de Gracia, is a must! This architectural marvel is known for its colorful mosaic facade and unique dragon-shaped roof. The facade of Casa Batllo is said to represent the legend of Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia, who is known as a dragon slayer.

CASA MILA

Last but not least, see Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera. This building stands out for its wavy stone facade, twisting iron balconies, and unique chimney design. Did you know that Casa Mila has preserved its original purpose as a residential place?

Interesting Facts

GOTHIC AND ART NOUVEAU ELEMENTS

Gaudi believed that nature achieved perfect structural solutions, which he incorporated into his designs. He blended organic shapes with the more rigid Gothic forms, establishing his unique architectural style across Barcelona.

THE ONGOING CONSTRUCTION

The final tower of the Sagrada Familia is expected to be built by 2026, which will mark the 100th anniversary of Gaudí's death. Upon completion, the Sagrada Familia will become the tallest church in the world!

SUSTAINABLE DESIGNS

Did you know that Gaudí skillfully incorporated a natural cooling and daylighting system, reducing the need for artificial climate control and lighting?

BROKEN UP TILES KNOWN AS TRENCADIS

Trencadis originates from the Catalan word for "chopped," which perfectly describes the method of breaking up ceramic tiles or glass into smaller, irregular pieces. This technique is featured in many of Gaudi’s projects, such as Park Guell and Casa Batllo, and it became his signature mark.
